Oh Void 1, 2002, carbon resin-impregnated paper

The  Conception of the Voido - originally named Oh Void, started in 2002.

It's one of the first prototype of Ron Arad not made with steel.

First prototypes were produced with Carbon fiber, and namex resin-impregnated paper.

First models are Oh Void 1 and Void 2, produced the same year 2002. The Oh Void 1 is longer, and considered more as a "rocking daybed".

Oh Void 2, 2002, carbon resin-impregnated paper

In 2004 different prototypes were produced with Corian®. We don't now if these items were sculpted with hands or by laser cutting. Horizontal stripes appear as topographic lines. Produced in reb/black stripes and black/white stripes.

In 2005 the renamed Voido appears in the Magis'catalogue. But ony one model is sold, and without the two holes below the seat. The 2005 version is sold in red or blue.

On the new 2006 catalogue, and on the Magis's website, we can discover a new version similar to the Oh Void 2 coming soon.
